The event is a festival of French motoring featuring static club displays from nearly every French car club in the country, concours competitions, competitive hill climbing events, a cavalcade up the famous hill and much more. This year the event forms part of the 70th anniversary celebrations for the historic Bugatti Owners Club-owned venue.

The event aims to showcase the largest group of Classic and Vintage French cars ever gathered together at one event. The format of the weekend will reflect the 2007 event (without the rain!) with a varied programme of timed racing, demonstration runs and an opportunity for particular marques to participate in spectacular cavalcade runs up the hill. Like last year there will be significant numbers of French marque car clubs, providing dedicated space in the orchard, and marque racing classes, championship classes and inter- marque challenges throughout the weekend.

Last year’s event was awash with rain, but despite this the club managed a good turn out of around 20 members with some interesting cars including a Kenyan 404 rally car and the recently restored Talbot Samba Rallye of member Pat Hesmondhalgh. Hopefully the sun will shine on us this year and members will come out in force for what is probably one of the most entertaining and interesting event in the French car calendar.
