Peugeot 404 Injection EJS 152D
During the 1950s and 1960s Peugeot gained a reputation for being very strong, reliable and long-lasting cars, particularly in undeveloped countries with poor roads. They enjoyed many rallying successes, winning the East African Safari outright in 1963, 66, 67 & 68.
This very rare fuel injection model (thought to be the only surviving right-hand drive example in the United Kingdom) was top of the range. Features include servo-assisted brakes, stainless steel trim, sun roof, pig skin upholstery, and metallic paint. It has a top speed of 100 miles per hour. In 1966 it cost 1521 pounds as much as a new MK2 Jaguar!
Guy Bromley, the cars second owner, claims that she sports her original paint work and upholstery and has only covered 26,000 miles. The spare wheel is unused!
He purchased the car at Inverness in Scotland and drove to Hampton Wick in Surrey in just 1 day without any mechanical problems. The 591 miles took a little under 13 hours.
