AGM at Coventry Transport Museum
The AGM was held at Coventry Transport Museum, home to many rare vehicles including one of the first 206 made at Coventry. The committee met the members over coffee before starting. Chairman Paul Zickel opened the meeting with last years minutes, and proceeded through the Agenda. Richard Barker talked through his secretarys review of the year. Club President, Phil Clatworthy during his report made the official announcement that he would be stepping down from his post next year, so him and his wife Marilyn could spend more time in France, buying a property there. Phil also presented Janes treasurer report as she was unable to attend. Alastair Inglis presented the membership report and Mat Tuck covered events, current and future for 2006, and also on behalf of Andrew Stephens the website.
Phil then introduced Andrew Didlick to members who kindly did a presentation on PSA Peugeot Citroen, with some fascinating information on the Peugeot brand. This was followed by a buffet lunch and the opportunity to look around the museum. Members were treated to exhibits of many Peugeots including a 205 T16, 206WRC, and outside the very latest 406 Coupe and 1007. The 407 and 1007 were brought along by Andrew and his colleague Kevin from Peugeot, the 407 being the only 2.7 V6 HDI in the country.
A full report coming soon in the Peugeotist magazine.
