Welcome back the 504 coupe

Ok, so we all new that the 407 coupe was an interesting design when compared to the quite frankly beautifully designed 404 and 504 coupes. And now it seems that Peugeots new design director Jerome Gallix thinks so too.

Apart from giving the world the slinky 308 RC Z last year, Gallix is a big big fan of the classic Pug coupes of yesteryear and has taken the wraps of what he describes as the new 504 coupe. With muscular swooping lines that echo the 70s pinninfarina styled 504 the new coupe represents a return to Peugeots traditional style values.

Interestingly Gallix also professes to be a fan of the companys 304 and 204 models and hingts at a return to the more gallic charms of the companys heritage products.

A production 504cc would be based around Citroen C5 mechanical giving rise to the possibility of a 2.7 TDi model.

Bring it on we say. Bring it on.
