Car clubs from all over Britain converge on Beacon Park for this friendly summer weekend event which has been supported by CPUK since time immemorial. All Peugeots, young or old, are welcome on the CPUK stand on either the Saturday or the Sunday or both. Last year we won the award for 'Best Club Stand of the Show' (see picture above) so let's try to emulate that feat this year. Organised by the Rotary Club of Lichfield St. Chad, charity donations on the day are much appreciated. There will be plenty of interesting stalls (including auto-jumble) on site and Lichfield city centre is only a 5 minute walk away, making the Park the ideal starting point for sight-seeing too. Visit the magnificent cathedral or make a tour of Dr Johnsons house. Florette's Festival Market, selling a wide range of handmade crafts, foods and accessories, will be around the Cathedral on the Saturday. And, of course, there is the traditional CPUK Cars in the Park cake for members to enjoy on the Sunday afternoon. Please note: cars must be in situ on the CPUK stand before 11am each day; otherwise owners will have to park in the public area for which there is a £5 fee. Dogs on leads are welcome in the park and camping/caravanning on site is available upon request. There will be a special CPUK “Cars in the Park” evening meal on Saturday 6th July at an Italian restaurant in Lichfield for those who want to make a weekend of it. (advance booking with Janette Horton required). Check out the Cars in the Park website for full details
