Scottish Transport Extravaganza Glamis Castle
Forfar, Angus DD8 1RJ
With the largest gathering of veteran, vintage and classic vehicles in Scotland, the Scottish Transport Extravaganza is an event that should not be missed as it’s a wonderful place to spend the weekend this summer. Glamis, the childhood home of the late Queen Mother, is described as Scotland’s most spectacular castle. Located 25 miles north of Perth and just 12 miles from Dundee, Forfar is the perfect base for an exploration of Perthshire and the Angus coast and glens, either before or after the event, while the Castle and grounds are there to be enjoyed throughout the weekend. There is also the V&A Museum in Dundee which is a must-see before making your way up the coast to collect some Arbroath Smokies for your tea.
Bringing your Peugeot to Glamis to be part of the CPUK display gives free access to the event for up to 2 adults and 2 children under 16. Ideally, you would join us for the whole weekend but no problem if you can only make it on the Saturday or the Sunday. Rob will even help you to find accommodation if you give him enough notice!
